Eric Le Corre is the UK's Managing Director with Michelin Tyre PLC. His company puts huge resources into developing energy-efficient tyres. A tyre contributes up to 20% fuel consumption of the car or in a truck 40%. If all vehicles in the UK switched to green low resistance tyres that would be a saving of eight million tonnes of carbon -- the equivalent of taking three million vehicles off the road.
