Roland Hwang is Tranportation Program Director for US National Resources Defense Council's energy program in California. He says that both the US and the UK are adopting increasing similar low carbon legislation to transport. This and the relatively high price of fuel in the US mean that American drivers are buying more smaller European-style fuel efficient cars.
